Take a look at Sunrise UMC Preschool in Holly Springs!
Our goal is to provide an optimal learning environment that enables children to grow and learn according to their unique learning styles.
We use a combination theme-based and biblical-based curriculum. We will be using Handwriting Without Tears for our 4-year olds.
We believe that the preschool experience should include activities to promote spiritual, emotional, social, physical, and language development.
We also want to emphasize our commitment to teaching Christian values for the children enrolled in our preschool through Bible stories, songs, prayer and chapel time each week
Why We Are Unique
We are the only church-based preschool program in Holly Springs so that caregivers can stay close to home, if they choose to do so, while their child is in preschool. If you decide to run errands or make appointments that take you out of Holly Springs then you have an extra half hour (3 1/2 hours total as opposed to the typical 3 hour program) to get back for pick-up in plenty of time!
Car pool drop-off and pick-up is available for our 3 and 4-year-olds.
This is where they moved my grandmother to. Notice the “company” I get while riding this elevator Facebook:

After going to Maine for 30 years from Maryland, I finally came across a Moose, right after we left the Dennysville Snowmoble Clubhouse on our bikes at about mile 85.5 on the rail trail, as there it was, eating, naturally. We looked at it and it looked at us, as you can hear him sniff at us, as we waited for him to move on, so we could continue on to Ayers Junction. Okay, we saw the Moose, now we needed to continue on with our ride. Just kidding, it was a neat stand off. So he finally had enough of us and trotted down the trail and out of sight, as we continue on and there he was again, just standing on the trail, as did this all over again, as he finally went into the woods to eat more. I was told he was a 2 year Moose, not fully grown yet, but it was to us, a Moose. And we where also told he is called a “Swamp Donkey” at this age.
A short sample of what it is like to attend the historic Moravian Easter Sunrise Service in Winston-Salem, NC. Starting in 1772, this service has been held every year in Salem, a community settled by the Moravians. Thousands gather in Salem Square in the dark before dawn to prepare for the service. Bands play throughout the night in different parts of town to awake the sleepers and call residents to the service. Just a few moments before the first light appears in the sky, the presiding minister will announce: “The Lord is risen!” and the crowd responds, “The Lord is risen indeed!” After the singing of hymns and a liturgy of faith, the entire crowd processes in prayerful silence to God’s Acre, the Salem Moravian cemetery. There, the service concludes with hymns of resurrection as the sun rises in the east. This video was recorded in 2012, at the 240th Easter Sunrise Service. This year, the 245th, the presiding minister will be the Rt. Rev. Lane Sapp.
With our Phoenix day care and learning centers located throughout the Valley of the Sun, Sunrise Preschools has provided quality preschool education and child care to generations of Arizona families. With our corporate headquarters located in Tempe, we are an Arizona company serving Arizona families.
Each year the young people (14-18) from St Bartholomew’s Church Roby gather early on Easter morning to travel to Calderstone’s Park in Liverpool for their Sunrise Service.
They then return to Roby (Huyton) for breakfast. The after breakfast ritual (and competition) is drawing their scenes of Easter on the (paper) tablecloths.
This video uses the song “Restore to me the joy of your salvation” (Psalm 51) by Candi Pearson-Shelton and Mac Powell.
This is time lapse photography with pictures taken from a sky cam on top of the Overton Hotel. Notice the halo around the sun… Makes a cool effect.
4-08-2012 6:59 am 240th Annual Salem Sunrise Service of the Moravian Church at Old Salem Gods Acre, Winston-Salem, NC 310 piece Brass Choir playing as the sun comes up. The band choirs play antiphonally and converge on the square, “calling and answering” as they converge after playing through the night in the surrounding communities of Winston-Salem. This last one ends with 159 A Worship noting that the exact moment the sun broke the horizon was the last measure of the last song on the AMEN note. Sounding “as one” is the goal of the Salem Band. Being “equal” with our brothers and sisters in life as in death, and in death as in life ironically.
