In Chattanooga, TN USA, there is a pulpit pimp named R.J. McCowan. He’s much like heretics such as Creflo Augustus Dollar, Jr., but simply lesser known. In this video clip, McCowan claims God is bound by the same rules as Satan and “what we say make the difference in the earth, not even what God says, but what we say…”
He is trying to dress it up to suit his audience, but he’s literally asserting that man has more authority on earth than God. That man’s word is the deciding factor, not God’s.
Did God have to get a word from man, to raise up Pharaoh and make an example of him of how vessels made for His wrath are treated, Romans 9:17?
And was it God who released His people from Pharaoh or the word of man? Not even the word of Pharaoh could hold them.
If God is held to the same rules as Satan, why did Satan have to get permission from God to do anything to Job, Job 1:8-12? Job did not by his own word initiate what resulted in real world events in his life.
Paul did not call himself to the Lord, Jesus called Paul, Acts 9:15-16.
It is what God says that makes the difference in the earth and in Heaven.
R.J. McCowan’s statements are part of the heresy of “little gods” also known as the Word of Faith doctrine and McCowan fully supports the heresy of prosperity doctrine. Avoid this man.
