A Walk Through Swan Pond Church Cemetery. Harriman,TN. What could have happened at this old church back in the 1980s? It’s been said that a preacher went slowly insane and hung himself in the bell tower of this quaint old church however, residents claim this never happened. The cemetery has two lonely grave stones, in particular, that say these people were murdered. Where there is murder there is unrest. Walk with us now through The Swan Pond Church Cemetery…..Our walk was in the daylight. Who’s to say what goes on here at twilight when the moon is full and nobody’s here to see. Do you dare walk around here at night? Sorry for the bad quality of the video. It was recorded with a cheap video camera. I have since gotten a much better camera!

Wayne On The Road with LaDonna & Lua EP063
After driving for a few days to escape the colder temperatures LaDonna found a cool place to stop just outside of Beatty. I was a great little spot to recharge and hang out with lots of animals and birds and a spot for Lua to swim.
We checked out the ghost town of Rhyolite and did some photography in the Goldwell Open Air Museum which is close by. Here are some GPS coordinates if you’re passing through and need a nice little spot to pull over for a few days.

Early in October, my wife and I hike to Church’s Pond. Beautiful and a great time of the year to do this hike.
Church’s Pond is a small snow-melt basin below Mt. Rose was named for James Church, the University of Nevada, Reno professor who in 1909 devised the technique to determine the water content of the Sierra snow pack. This is a spectacular Reno area hike in early-to-mid-October, climbing up White’s Creek canyon through numerous groves of aspen in their supersaturated autumn yellow.
