Steve Sasson, a Kodak employee, was granted a patent for the world’s first digital camera. So why did Kodak go bankrupt in 2012 if the company had the future of photography in its grasp? Cheddar explains.

Film Photography – Kodak Tmax 3200 – Dog Portraiture

Views:48|Rating:5.00|View Time:23:19Minutes|Likes:48|Dislikes:0
Kodak Tmax 3200 First try in my Film Photography.

After my Wife asking me if I could make a portrait of our Dog, George, I went to work on making a portrait and thought it would make a good video to put on the channel.

I have a roll of Kodak Tmax 3200 so I thought I would use it for this portrait.

I also decided to use my Video Lights as constant lighting for George. I do have studio strobes and lots of lighting gear but I wanted to keep it simple for the channel. Not everyone has Studio Flash gear but we can all get hold of bright lamps and a reflector.

I used the 3200 as I needed to use a faster shutter speed and a smaller aperture. And the lights are not that bright. If I used a wider aperture the chances of George moving once I had focused on his eye was probable! I wanted his whole face from nose to neck in focus. Also the faster shutter speed gave me less motion blur if he moved slightly. So the 3200 was a good choice here. And I wasn’t going to be put off by grain. I like grain.

My wife loved the portrait. Whoop!

Files from the CD included with these sunglasses can be downloaded here:

I’ve tested a few camera setups during my quest to find a suitable replacement for the POV camera setup I use in most all of my competition shooting videos. I figured since I took the time to try them out, I may as well pass on my opinion in case it helps someone else looking for info on one of these.

One of the cameras I tried was better suited for hunting and not competition shooting. So I posted that camera review to my Hunting channel “TexasNative00”. I’ve linked that review at the end of this video in case you want to check it out.

For the money (around $70) this sunglasses camera is pretty cool. They are small enough to always have with you in case you want to “capture the moment”. I think they would be great for airsofters and driving. If I ever get to do my Jeep driving trip in Colorado next year I will definitely have these with me for the mountain trails.
